2Doesn't fit well, at all.  Feb 06, 2010 By Marie Hospoda
I bought this hat for my 6-month-old. I had an older version i-play hat for my newborn and loved it because it fit so well. I thought this one would be the same, but it is not. Firstly, instead of the elastic band that cinches the back of the hat, there is a draw sting with a plastic piece to hold the string once it's pulled. The plastic piece is perfectly at the back of the hat which means when I have my baby in the Bjorn, it hits me in the chest, and that hurts. It can't be comfortable for the baby either. There are enough complaints about the poorly positioned chin strap in other reviews that it's not necessary for me to go into detail about that issue, but it is indeed a problem, especially since the hat is loose--it doesn't cinch well--and so tends to get crooked on my baby's face or fall into her eyes within minutes of putting it on. I will not be buying this model ever again and instead will look for something else entirely when she grows out of this one (which I hope is soon).

3Workable..  Oct 26, 2009 By A. Fryar "Constantina"
I've had a hard time finding a sun hat online for my infant son and finally settled on this one. This hat (0-6mths) is big for my son and he has a big head for 2mths! I have to tie the velcro ties instead of press them (too much room left for baby's head). No way a newborn could ever wear this. The color came as described: light blue. It's lightweight and non-stuffy; perfect for warm/hot weather. Lots of coverage too-- front and back which is wonderful! I plan to keep this and will continue to use till his head grows into it (also buying addtl. hats that will fit better for now as well).

4Great sun hat  Nov 04, 2009 By Mamot "curly haired mom"
I bought this sun hat for my 11 month old and it fits great plus its excellent sun coverage for face, neck and ears. Didn't use the velcro for the face (it was too small). My son didn't try to take it off so its comfortable.

3Very poorly designed chin strap, so makes it very inconvenient  Aug 24, 2009 By KNSudha
The hat is correctly sized, and has a pull tab to change the size of the head (I purchased the 6 - 18 mo size)
and it fits my 9 mo babies really well tho one had a head circ in the 90 + percentile. The
big con, is that a tie cord may be better for the chin -- the velcro does not stay in place and is
at a weird angle too -- ending up on their nose since i can't tighten it enough. i just don't use the strap,
and they keep the hat on while they have fun things to do like splash in the pool.

4Great sun coverage  May 07, 2009 By J. Miller
Protection from the sun is excellent, and hat is a nice lightweight material. The only problem is the chin strap is placed too far forward and doesn't stay in place.
