Great potty seat, if you have the right toilet.... Aug 26, 2008

My daughter just turned 2 and began showing interest in potty training. I purchased this item from amazon and really like it. She loves the princess products and the seat is very soft and not as ridged as some of the other character potty seats. She loves looking at the princesses and tells me so. This seat makes her look forward to going potty. This potty seat fits our toilet perfectly. We have a toilet with an elongated bowl. I read the other reviews and see that others have elongated bowls have had troubles with this seat. With our bowl being narrower, the seat reaches the sides without a problem. I would suggest buy this item with a gain of salt, in other words keep in mind it may not work out depending on your toilet size. This is also true with any other potty seat. Plus my daughter is only 23 pounds. This seat may not be an option when she get older and heavier. I gave this item only 4 stars since I really do love it, but would recommend it only to persons with certain toilets which can accommodate the nonskid pads on the bottom of the seat.

Better choices are there Apr 11, 2011

I bought this potty seat while we already had the 'Dora' potty seat. I prefer the 'Dora' potty seat over this one mainly because:
1.) The hole in this potty seat is too small and therefore I am always afraid that it may be soiled. 2.) It does not fit into the potty unlike the 'Dora' potty seat. You have to just place it on the potty. Therefore it is more likely that it may fall off.
Also the seat quality of 'Dora' training potty seat seems much better than this one.

Slips too easily Jul 05, 2008

This seat is cute but it slips too easily. The opening is too small for a 3 year old and the anti-skid pads did not touch the toilet seat even after trying to adjust the locations. Pick another one.

Disappointed Sep 25, 2007

I like the look, my daughter wears it as a hat on her head. It did not fit our toilet seat. I would have liked it to sit firmly, securely and not slide around. My daughter will not use it.

Perfect for Princesses Mar 13, 2008

I absolutely love this. My daughter is 33 months old and loves princesses. She was terrified t use the big potty or even sit on it until we got this seat. She loves that it fits on the "big" potty and allows her to be a big girl. The seat doesn't slide around at all on our toilet, but we don't have a padded seat or an elongated seat. The plastic is separate from the cushion but it hasn't been an issue for us. The handles are wonderful because it gives comfort to my daughter that she isn't going to fall. We use a step stool to get on and off the potty so her feet are on the step stool teh whole time. It fits well in the diaper bag as well so i can take it with us places and she can use the toilet when we are out and about as well, which for us is a lot of time not at home.
