By abrenzikofer We have a stone fireplace and the ledge underneath the fireplace looks so sharp and hard I worried about my 8 month old (omg! 8 months already?!!)daughter smacking her head on it as she pulls herself up and walks along it. So I bought these, and they were very easy to install. The light color matches pretty well with our stone. Very pleased with them, I was worried with it being natural stone that the adhesive wouldnt stick well on it, but it really does. I tried to remove one after realizing that I should have started placing them in the middle and work my way out so that both sides of the fireplace looked even, but they were very hard to get up so I left them there.

Stay put and with good amount of cushioning. Mar 05, 2011
By mmh As the name suggests, these edge protectors are bigger/wider so they won't fit small/narrow edges. They are thick enough to protect little heads from bumps. They adhere well and stay put (provided that you do it right and clean the surface where the protector is to go). At the same time, they are fairly easy to remove; I say "fairly" as you will have to use a little force to pull it off. Didn't damage any of our furniture when removed. Package contains 4 edge protectors. Each is 17 inches long. The side of the protector (from side edge to center) is almost 2 inches. And it is almost 1/2 inch thick. They work great for us and I highly recommend them. Saved our baby lots of pain and bumps. I only wish Safety 1st made them in different colors (the ones we got are sort of tan colored).

Bumps and Bruises bye bye Mar 01, 2011
By C.O. We put these everywhere our toddler falls. She no longer gets so many of those sad little bruises. Instead, she bounces right off corners (we even used them on the corners of our walls) and is on her merry way. They are a bit pricey, but she can't rip them off.

I used these bumpers on our fireplace hearth and they worked great!! I would double check before putting it on wood surfaces. My hearth was cement at the time and I had no problems.
