My Kid's Noggin Is Bruise-Free! Oct 02, 2009
By megan I have a new walker, and this ugly thing absolutely prevented her soft little head from all manner of dings and divots.
It really is ugly as sin, and smells kind of like new vinyl sheet protectors for the first few days out of the box. That's a plus for me though - reminds me of high school.
The elastic is strong, so I was able to really pull the bejesus out of it to make it fit on my very long coffee table. Then when I put my foot through the coffee table and replaced it with a smaller table, the elastic rebounded nicely.
Seriously though, it's ugly.
But you know what's pretty? My 11 month old kids perfectly round head.

Not PVC free Nov 20, 2009

Calhoun I purchased this item because I wanted good protection of our coffee table for our daughter -- and because I knew that she would spend a lot of time probably chewing on it I wanted it to be PVC free. I selected this one even though it was pricy because the description said it was PVC-free. I was upset therefore when I received the item in the mail and read on the tag that it is made of 100% PVC material. What! I'll return it for cheaper item.

Expensive but worth it Oct 09, 2010
By S. Lin One day our little one started getting bruises all over the house and I went nuts buying safety bumpers. This one was seemingly a bit pricey, and I didn't know how effective it would be but has ended up being one of my favorite purchases. Can't tell you how many times this bumper guard has saved the head/face from a nasty bruise. Worth it--especially if your kid ends up being super active! Was on craigslist and no one sells this stuff 2nd hand, probably b/c they give it to good friends/family instead! BUY IT. You won't regret it!

Loose fit but works better than alternatives. Mar 22, 2011
By Alan I bought both the small and medium size bumpers to use in two tables. The larger rectangular table is ~160 inches, so I figured the medium bumper would fit it just fine (since it is marked as 141 to 192) but it was kind of a loose fit. I tried the small bumper on it but it didn't fit at all so I left the medium on it any way and put the small bumper in a 100 inch table (this was also kind of loose). At first I thought this would be a problem for both tables but the bumper has stayed in place (I have been using it for a couple of weeks) my daughters both 1 year old haven't been able to remove it since it is kind of heavy.
Even though both bumpers are a little loose I'm still going to give them 4 stars since I believe these are better than the alternative the edge sticky cushions since my daughters had no problem removing those. You can also easily remove the bumpers if you have friends over and really don't like how they look.
