Quality made kitchen but lacks just a little Sep 12, 2009
By Rachel E. Tague We bought this kitchen for our twin 2 year olds. My daughter loved it at first but soon lost interest. My son who has Down Syndrome, doesn't really show much interest in it at all. I struggled with choosing a kitchen, the cost was the major deciding factor. The set up was farely easy. It took us about an hour. I was in charge of putting the stickers on the kitchen while my husband assembled it. Seems to me the stickers should come already attached. I boogered it up just a little, but the kids will never know. If you're looking for an interactive kitchen, this isn't the kitchen for you. It doesn't do or say a whole lot. Which can be a blessing but I would have liked the kitchen to talk a little more. The stove talks, mind you it doesn't say too much, and the washer and dryer make noise but it last only a few seconds. Would have been nice for the coffee maker, oven, dishwasher, fridge door and microwave to interact in some fashion. My biggest disappointment was the lack of accessories. The description of the kitchen is exactly how it came, not exactly sure what I was thinking we'd get with it. It came with very little play food (I think 3 food items total), 2 plates, 2 forks, 2 spoons and 2 knives, 2 cups and 2 tea/coffee cups and a coffee pot. The price was fabulous, I know we'll have this play kitchen for years to come, it's a good quality made kitchen and the size is awesome, it's perfect for the kids and for our living room!
