Not nearly long enough Dec 02, 2009
By Snoopy ARGH!!! I bought this because it's cute, matches my son's room and I thought it would help soothe him to sleep. We have the matching bedding, curtains, border and lamp - the mobile fits in perfectly. The problem I have with this is how long the music operates. It's a nice item in appearance and it works well. Unfortunately, the music doesn't play long enough. You wind it up - it takes about 8 turns - which are a little on the loud side. Sometimes if I put my son in the crib while he is drowsy but fighting sleep I like to use the mobile to push him into "La LA Land" but if I make too much noise I can forget about it! So you can imagine how loud those 8 turns seem. After I wind up the mobile he seems to enjoy the music and as soon as he starts to drift off I hear the music stop and the crying starts. It seems to play anywhere from 2-3 minutes which is not nearly long enough! If the mobile to soothing him to sleep and then it stops playing then Mommy, Daddy and baby are unhappy! If you are reading this then you probably know how hard it can be to get a baby to sleep sometimes - especially when you want a nap yourself or you're just trying to do other things ;-)

By B. North I really love this mobile. I had already purchased the bedding set through a different website and I was looking for the mobile to go with it and this was it. It was very easy to put together, it has been better then all the other mobiles we have had. The designs hanging from the mobile lock into place and they don't fall out. I would recommend this mobile to anyone who is buying for their little boy!!
